Cycle the Lakes

Welcome to my new venture – Cycle the Lakes.

Guide-led rides bring local knowledge and experiences not available to mass events or via map apps.

Guided Rides – pick a ride from the menu

I ride with you, on utterly stunning roads that aren’t accessible to large events. Less single-file equals more chat.

I organise warm and welcoming start and finish points; breakfast should you need it, coffee and cake mid-ride.

No stopping to check maps, no wondering if the next road is safe.

We pause at the best cafes in The Lakes mid-ride, chosen for their ambience and secure bike parking.

Bespoke Rides – hit the Bespoke tab

Use the Bespoke Rides as a template, shorten or lengthen them, or just tell me what you want to do…

Half Day, Full Day, Flat, Long Climbs, Short Climbs. A Lake District Tour? Hit the Bespoke Rides tab.

Everesting – first event June 2021

8848m climbing in one day.

A team to feed you, care for you, support you.

Local accommodation and a famous cafe at the foot of the climb.

Please like our Facebook page for updates and check back here late 2020.

You can also find us on Facebook; where we will be announcing our events: Cycle the Lakes

Cycle the Lakes

We're currently building great rides. Ride with a guide, so no checking maps, no hunting down a cafe, no getting lost and someone to fix a puncture. Our first events are launching in October.

In the early '90s, Joe Beer pioneered the idea of Polarised Training. Today, it's the most evidence-based way of distributing your intensity for fitness gains. It takes bravery to slow down in order to go faster but Joe is the master and the best coach I know for that special event.

Happy New Year everyone. Thank you for continuing to follow us.
Our first Guided Ride of 2020 is another installment of our initial event in October - Cycle to the Sea. Its on Saturday April 4th so a bit early for mountains. Much better a jaunt to the seaside!!
80km, a much nicer start and finish than in October and 1000m climbing.
Please see for tickets.

Hope to see you soon
